Reigniting Roko Itonami: A Journey of Growth and Creativity

Since September, we’ve been hard at work breathing new life into Roko Itonami, reigniting our passion for this incredible project. After a period of reflection and planning, we’ve embarked on an exciting journey to bring Aruzio and its characters closer to you than ever before. Here’s an inside look at what we’ve been building over the past few months.

We began by focusing on the storyboarding process, covering at least half of Pilot Episode 1: Fighting Sins. This pivotal episode lays the foundation for the world of Roko Itonami, introducing key characters and setting the tone for the series. Alongside this, we’re preparing to create the opening and ending credits, as well as trailers, to provide tangible, high-quality assets that showcase the project to potential investors and collaborators.

Our world-building efforts have expanded immensely. We’ve developed detailed lore for Aruzio, including fascinating new holidays, complete with their traditions and celebrations. Characters tied to these holidays now have rich backstories, adding depth to their roles in the Roko universe. Additionally, we’ve introduced deities whose mythology weaves through the history of Aruzio, along with new descriptions of creatures and locations that make the world even more immersive.

To support this creative expansion, we took critical steps to establish Roko Itonami as an official business. With a dedicated bank account and business registration completed, we’re now better equipped to manage funds and partnerships. We also reactivated email accounts for the team, ensuring seamless communication across voice acting, artistic, and administrative roles. To further bolster organization, we created vital documents such as a detailed pitch for investors and a comprehensive summary of all things Roko Itonami.

Community engagement has been another cornerstone of our efforts. We launched a Discord server, offering a space for fans and creators to connect, collaborate, and stay updated. A Reddit server and TikTok account followed, expanding our reach and making it easier to share insights and creative highlights. For those who want to immerse themselves even deeper into the world of Aruzio, we introduced a subscription-based calendar featuring holidays, character birthdays, and other significant dates from the Roko universe. To make our resources easily accessible, we also created a Linktree, which consolidates all our links into one convenient spot, making it easier for our audience to explore everything Roko has to offer.

Our team has also grown, with three talented artists joining our ranks. One artist has focused on creating SVG files for merchandise production, enabling laser-engraved items to be sold at markets. Another has been crafting mood boards to aid storyboarding and animation, while the third is working on an updated and more detailed map of Aruzio—a project we’re especially excited to reveal.

On the merchandise front, we’ve made strides in securing partnerships for Roko Itonami apparel and keychains, with production set to begin as soon as funds are available. Additionally, we’ve reconnected with a plushie maker to bring the beloved spirit animals to life, planning costs and funding for their production. Meanwhile, we’ve started selling handcrafted potions at markets, with plans to introduce scented candles inspired by Roko Itonami’s characters and themes in the coming month. These unique items not only help fund the project but also bring fans closer to the magic of Aruzio.

Looking to the future, our vision for the next year is ambitious yet achievable. We aim to complete animation for the opening and ending credits, trailers, and at least one pilot episode, with the ultimate goal of finishing all four. Frequent participation in conventions and markets will allow us to share merchandise, connect with fans, and grow the Roko community. Plans are also underway for an exciting new card game, Cards Against Roko, which will bring humor and interactivity to fans of the series.

This journey has been nothing short of transformative. With every step, we are reminded of the incredible support and enthusiasm from our community.
